At Six Shooter Kikos, we receive numerous inquiries throughout the year, and if you've reached out to us, you've likely heard that we prefer to keep our kids on the farm for several months before making them available for sale. Our philosophy is rooted in ensuring that the Kikos leaving our farm are well-suited for success on your farm.
Understanding the challenges of predicting the long-term potential of goats at a young age, we prioritize giving them ample time to grow and thrive before offering them for sale. While each farm makes its own decisions regarding culling and selling, our commitment at Six Shooter Kikos is to be proud of the goats we send to your farm. We believe in providing not just Kikos, but quality breeding stock that aligns with the standards and expectations of our farm and, by extension, yours.
2026 Kiko babies born on the farm After reducing the size of our Kiko herd by half, the number of kids available this year has also been limited. For the 2026 season, we only have 24 Purebred Kiko and NZ kids available. Almost all were born during the month of February and are healthy, active, and growing well, with an average birth weight of 7.9 lbs. This year’s group includes 14 bucklings and 11 doelings. At Six Shooter Kikos, we typically wean bucklings at 90 days and doelings at 120 days to ensure proper growth and development. While all of these kids come from registered parents, most will likely be sold as commercial Kikos unless registration is warranted and is specifically requested in advance. If you have questions or are interested in adding one of these kids to your farm, please feel free to message us or contact us through the website.
